Accessibility

As queer disabled people who are often unwelcome or unconsidered in kink spaces, we strive for better.

I pride myself on both my personal and professional endeavors being intentionally inclusive. I have a Master's degree in educational DEI and have built all of Lavender Cow's policies and proceedures around inclusivity and accessibility. Our space is intentionally LGBTQ+, BIPOC, disability, and neurodivergence welcoming and affirming. Our space is welcoming and inclusive of all bodies, body sizes, and little ages.

We will always work with people to make our space as accessible and accomodating as possible; please do not hesitate to contact us if you have accessibility needs prior to scheduling.

Major Points of Inaccessibility

  • Entrance

    • There are 3 standard height steps (2 concrete, 1 wood floor) to enter our space. I am happy to assist folks in lifting wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids under 40lbs up the stairs and inside upon request.

  • Bathroom

    • Our bathroom can be accessed by folks using mobility aids but has no grab bars and very limited room to turn a wheelchair around (to exit the bathroom, wheelchair users need to exit in reverse). Most walkers are able to be turned around to exit the bathroom.

  • Diaper Changes

    • We do not have a changing table so all diaper changes currently occur on foam mats on the floor.

  • Dog

    • We do have a dog. She will not be out during any babysitting/daycare sessions, however, you may have difficulty accessing our services if you have a severe dog allergy.

We are always striving to increase our accessibility and welcome feedback on how we can improve.
